The difference between Enduros and Linear Enduros

Enduros vs Linear Enduros

Zone4 has two different Race Templates that can be used to time Enduros. Race Templates change how the software looks and reacts to different inputs. The two we will be talking about are the Enduro and Linear Enduro templates.

Linear Enduros

In a Linear Enduro racers must complete the Segments in a specific order. Racers will have to complete Segment 1 before Segment 2, and so on until they finish all the Segments and return

Enduro

The main difference with an Enduro Template is that racers can complete the Segments in any order they choose. This is common in larger events or any where they want to spread out the racers around the course. There’s also some UI differences between the templates, and Enduro’s have some powerful features that are not necessarily needed for all events.
