Road Races are what most people think of when you bring up Road Cycling. These are long distance, mass start races, done either on a circuit or as a Point-to-Point race. They can be massively entertaining to watch, as the riders strategize and fight for position over the length of the course.
Race set up is thankfully easy for this race. Depending on the exact set up of your race, the tricky part is making sure the various timing points you need get set up. Other than that, and especially on a circuit course, you can mostly sit back and watch the excitement. Don’t get too comfortable though.
One thing you might note is that there are two Road Race templates in Zone4; Standard Race, and UCI Rules Road Race. There is not much different between the two, except with regards to how results are displayed.
We will go more into detail later, but for now, if you are timing a UCI Race, or think you might be, select that option. You can always adjust it back if needed.
