title: "Migrating from the club newsletters tool to the registrant emails tool"

The club newsletters tool has been replaced to better reflect how most people use it – it has been redesigned with a focus on sending quick informational updates to registrants, instead of trying to be a mailchimp competitor. If you need rich email composing tools, we now offer integration with mailchimp – [see the guide here for more information](/kb/connecting-your-registration-form-to-mailchimp/).

Find the new tool in the reports tab of any registration form.

## What has been removed

- You can no longer connect multiple registration forms to the same email message
- Attaching images other than a 160px tall header image, or using an image as the whole content of your message. Your message must be text-based. If you want to send images to your registrants, please upload them to your club’s website, google photos, facebook, or some other image host. Then you can include a link to the image gallery in the email you send out
- The “call to action” button element can no longer be added to newsletters. This was used by a tiny fraction of newsletters, and you can still add links to the text of the email – use the hyperlink button in the editor

*To link to your website, a registration form, or anything else you want, use the hyperlink button*

## What’s new

- Quickly send a message from registrant lists linked in the summary report, or the all registrants list, find the “email these registrants” item in the menu to jump into an email editor without having to create your own filters.

- a simplified permissions model – the old “club communications” permission was never clearly defined. All users who have permission to access a registration form now have permission to access the email tool for that registration form.
- quicker and more reliable sending – message sending happens directly in response to buttons being pushed or new registrants signing up, instead of a process that runs every five minutes to check for messages that need to be sent.
- more flexible recipient filtering – the new email editor uses the same filtering tools as custom reports.
