A dual start race is an interval start race, except that multiple people start on each interval. This is simply a change to the start schedule to allow multiple people to have the same scheduled start time, everything else behaves the same way as any other interval start race.
- In the main race settings, turn “experimental settings” on
- Scroll down to find the “Allow multi-person interval start” checkbox and make sure it is checked.
- On the start list tab, under the Assign Start Times section, find the Number of Racers per Start field. Set this to however many people will be starting together. For a dual-start, this will be 2.
This feature was designed for dual-start, but there is nothing restricting it to 2 starters at a time, you can start any number of people together.
Note that this is not the same as a wave start race, as in a wave start one start time is recorded and assigned to all the people in the wave. In a dual start, each racer is still racing as an individual, they simply have the same scheduled start time.
