Switching a Serverbox to a new organization

Finding Your Organization ID

If you are switching a serverbox to an organization that you are an administrator of, click on the club name in the Settings menu on your homepage to navigate to the organization settings page , and then copy the middle portion of the URL, excluding the slash on either end:

If zone4 staff have asked you to switch a serverbox to a different organization before shipping it somewhere, you should have been provided with a organization id to enter.

Assigning the serverbox to the new organization

Sign in to the serverbox and find the Manage Local Server option in the Admin Tools menu.  From there, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click the Reassign Serverbox button.  Confirm that you really do want to assign the serverbox to a new organization and wipe all personal information off the hard drive, and then enter the organization ID to switch to.  When prompted, power off the serverbox, wait until the LEDs on the front panel turn off, power it back on.  Trying to access the serverbox in your browser while it is switching may display some error messages (usually a 503 error) . 

When you are able to access the login screen again, that means it has been assigned to the new organization.  However, until an administrator auhorizes the serverbox to connect to their organization, the serverbox will not be able to connect to the internet or download any racer data.

Authorizing a Serverbox to connect to your organization

From your organization settings page, find the Timing Hardware option in the menu and navigate to the Serverboxes tab.  If a serverbox has been assigned to your club but has not been authorized yet, you will see a prompt to authorize it.  Click the authorize button, and the serverbox will be able to connect to to the website and download any races that are set to sync to it.
