Find Mac OS & Safari Version Numbers

If Zone4 Staff would like to know your Mac OS and Safari version numbers to help you troubleshoot a problem, you can follow these instructions to find them.

First, make sure you have Safari open, and in focus. You can confirm this by checking the menu bar at the top of your screen. It should say Safari next to the apple logo in the top left of your screen, as pictured below. If it doesn’t, you will need to open Safari or click on an open Safari window.

Click on the Apple symbol in the very top left, then click on About This Mac as pictured below.

You will see a window pop up similar to the one below. The version number is highlighted in the picture. Please make note of the version number in your window. That is your Mac OS version number.

You can close the window as pictured above. Next, click on Safari just to the right of the Apple logo at the top left of your screen. Then click About Safari.

A new window will pop up like the one pictured below. Again the version number is highlighted in this picture. Please make note of the version number in your window. That is your Safari version number.
